The Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will not assess the application for the following at the completeness check stage:
- The Commitment Certificate / Letter of Support
- Language proficiency
- Settlement funds and,
- Post-secondary education requirements
At the completeness check stage, the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will purely verify that the application contain the relevant supporting documentation in respect of these requirements.
In addition, the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will confirm that the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa (CPC-O) has received a valid Commitment Certificate. It will do this by checking the case notes in the Global Case Management System (GCMS). Only then would it indicate that the application is complete by entering a value of ‘Met’ in the Global Case Management System (GCMS).
