The Additional Instructions that Apply to Applications for Canada Start-Up Business Class
At the completeness check stage for Canada Start-Up Business Class Application, the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will not assess the following:
- The Commitment Certificate or the Letter of Support
- The language proficiency
- The settlement funds and,
- The post-secondary education requirements
At the completeness check stage, the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will only verify that the applicants have included the supporting documentation concerning these requirements in the application. Thereafter, the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) will confirm the case notes on the Global Case Management System (GCMS). In particular, it will confirm that the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa (CPC-O) has received a valid Commitment Certificate. Only after doing this, will the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) indicate that the application is complete. It will do this by entering a value of ‘Met’ in the Global Case Management System (GCMS).
