Hi, I have received a letter from Canadian Embassy (generic letter) after four (4) years since I submitted my application. The Embassy is requesting to update my documents. Do I have to get new NBI Clearance (Police Clearance) and take Englist Test again, etc.
I have submitted my Englist Test (TOEIC), and NBI Clearance together with my application forms four years ago. Do I have to take new NBI Clearance and English test again. Does TOEIC test acceptable in lieu of IELTS test. Please help me with this regard.
Thanks,
xavier
xavier,
You don't have to take IELTS again. Just mention in your cover letter (when you send your updated documents) that you have already submitted to them the original IELTS results when you filed your application way back. But you have to submit new NBI clearance, and if your civil status changed, such as, you got married, or there are additional dependents, you have to declare those in the IMMI application forms (additional family info) that the embassy requires you to submit.
By the way, when did you apply? Please share your timeline.
What are the other documents they want you to update?
God bless! |

Xavier,
I'm sorry, I misread your post. I thought you took the IELTS. TOEIC is not a designated testing organization by CIC and accordingly "are not conclusive evidence of language ability and may be considered only as part of an overall written submission".
It is best to take IELTS.

I concur with CPCC, that IELTS is the only testing system which they are accepting thes days ...I doubt if they accept TOEFL. Police clearance is to be the latest. |

I was filling up the form under new process. point 26 says list all occupations in the last 10 years. Does this mean I have to list all the jobs or only occupations. To clarify, even though I have changed employers, my occupation remains the same. So do I put a list of all the jobs or just one occupation?

You have to summarize your work experience by categorizing them under identified NOC codes.
Good luck |

One quick question to refresh my memory. How long does it take(standard) for the CIC to reply/respond letting you know that they already recieved your application? We forwarded our application last November of 2006 and we haven't recieved any confirmation yet. Your prompt response is highly appreciated. Thank you so much. |
