If you use her points, you will have to pay her fees also. Because your wife's credentials also will be processed to asses her points.
thanks.

Ziddy, as per others who got Visa. It takes 2 months after you submit your medicals. Means if you submit your medical in November end you should get your Visa stamped in Jan. 2010. No idea about the interview, my status still shows Received by Visa.

I have been a silent spectator in this forum. Here is my situation:
I have applied for Canadian immigration through ***** in July 2007 with AOR 15/10/07 in New Delhi Consulate. Looking at current processing times, it appears that I will not get the visa before 2013/2014.

Now my occupation falls under those 38 occupations in demand and ***** is asking me to reapply under the new rule and says that under new process the applications get processed within one year. I have the following questions:
1) Do they really process applications under new rule from New Delhi within 1 year?
2) I have read in some forum that, with the new rule in place, CIC will allot visa numbers first to the new applications (with occupations in demand) first and process the older applications with the leftover visas. Is this true?
3) It that is the case then waiting period for regular cases from New Delhi may even cros 10 years.

I would really appreciate if anyone finds a little time to answer these questions. I guess this would be beneficial to others also.

Hello,
I applied for PR under FSW and my application was received at the Delhi office on March 19, 2008. I was informed that the Delhi office started processing my application on April 3, 2008. Based on my job experience, I got my NOC updated (within 38 list) at the Delhi office in January 2009. I was then informed that my application was transfered to the Sydney, Nova Scotia - C-50 office on March 2, 2009. I attempted IELTS proactively and submitted my scores to CIC in August 2009.

In October 2009, I received an HRDC-approved AEO from my potential employer and I submitted the same to Nova Scotia office. The status of my application shows 'Application Received' -The Sydney, Nova Scotia - C-50 office may contact you. This status has been the same since April 2009.

Here's what advice I need:
1) Am I justified in being a little concerned that we haven't heard anything from CIC yet.
2) Typically, how long before submitting an AEO do we hear a response from CIC?
3) Since there is no way of contacting and inquiring anything from CIC, should I order CAIPS (my potential employer is willing to help me obtain those)- Delhi office does not have the answers I need
4) Is there anyone else in a similar position? What do you suggest I do?

Thanks for your inputs. Your responses will help settle my mind and keep me motivated!

My application is also pending since last 9 months.

We received your application for permanent residence on February 12, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 24, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.

No idea why some application are reviewed within 1 month and some are taking nearly a year.
