I am from India currently working in US. I am planning to get the Indian police clearance via Indian Consulate at San Francisco. On their website they say that they will stamp the clearance on my passport whereas CIC website says that they need original police clearance document. Since only photocopy of the passport is sent while submitting the application please suggest what you had done in your case ?

I am now confused with regard to student Visa vs Landing permit...
Few questions which are bothering me are : -- 1. Can I apply for student visa 2. If yes, then how will it effect me 3. Or should I wait for The final landing permit and then move on the same to canada 4. But If i wait then I risk the chance of missing the college...(As i dont know how many months will it take to get the final landing permit,..
