If they sent you a passport request and your already sent your passports. This usually means that you got your visa stampted. Otherwise, it might not be a good news (Sorry).
CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada). Usually an applicant applies for checking his caips notes when he wants to know "what his status in details is." http://www.immigration.ca/discussion2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10644
BTW, the person who told you to turn CAIPS off does not know that you are talking about CAIPS. I think he meant CAPS Lock.

Good catch Intel, and this is so funny!! Yes, annaanna12, whoever told you to turn CAIPS off, that person meant CAPS off; you probably were typing all in capital letters and it looks like you were YELLING...
You should be receiving PPR soon according to your post, don't worry, congrats!!

| I don't think its a PPR. It says a decision has been made after medicals received. Medicals received imply the wait for a PPR, but decision made means either a rejection or stamping of a visa if the passport was already sent to the consulate. |

since youve done a medical test, its likely going to be a passport request for stamping...just wait a little for the letter to be sent out.

Hi annaanna12
Since you are already in Canada... and your as per you indications where you state that your file has been transfered to local office... it indicates to me that "Decision Made" in this case would mean that you have been approved for PR and the Local office will send you details regarding the stamping etc..
I think this is good news... !
Cheers and keep us posted. |

There is nothing wrong with my phrase (Except for grammar and fragment errors - sorry):
"If they sent you a passport request and you're already sent your passports, this usually means that you got your visa stampted. Otherwise, it might not be a good news (Sorry)."
I wrote "it might not be", which indicates both possibilities (acceptance and rejection). The file (after desicion made) transferred to a local office around 7 months ago. If there is no PPR sent then there is a possibility that the application has been rejected.

B.S.Stop misguiding people. Your PPR is already sent and you will receive it soon. Be a little patient.
Hi annaanna12,
My advice is to contact the CIC office where you applied. At least you will get the truthful answer from them.
Good luck and I hope that you will here some good news.

Hello
All your e-cas lines appear similar to "family class" (in-land route) applns. Under what category have you applied for PR? Is it Federal Skilled worker (FSW) or Family sponsorship? |

In my case it was an acceptance. After the online application status was changed to "decision made" (same message as yours). It took the immigration office a week to send back the passport with the visa on it :) |

Be patient, buddy. I sent my PP on Aug 13, reached Buff on Aug 20, "Decision Made" appeared on Sep 2 and got the PP back on Sep3. It takes 20 days for my case. Yours may be faster or may be the same. |
