Hi, Those which their file has been transfered to the Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office can post their status here.Mine is as follow:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 24, 2008.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on July 24, 2008. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on October 14, 2008.
Your file was transferred to the Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office on November 5, 2008. The Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office will contact you if additional information is required. The Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

I have the same message in my eCase status update as follow.
We received your application for Canadian citizenship ( grant of citizenship) on July 25,2008.
sent ack letter on July 25, 2008 ( I never received the letter)
your file was transferred to the Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office on December 9 2008. The Citizenship and Immigration Operation Ontario office will contact you if additional information is required. The Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

where are you living Kennard? I think they will transfer the file of those applicants which they are living in toronto or north york to the CIOOO.

Hi Kennard:
Your application received same day as mine. They transferred your application Ontario Office on December on 9th 2008. When did they start processing Sydney Office you didn't mention that date.
My application they started processing on 6th November 2008. They haven't transferred yet on local office.
can you please update your date...thanks

Started Processing: October 28, 2008
Transferred to Local Office: NOT YET
I wonder how things work at Immigration Dept. Can't do anything, except waiting.

| They started processing my applicaton on nov 4,2008. I was just wondering if anyone know what is the CIC Ontario Operations office what do they do there? and if its different than the local CIC office. |

| One of my friends which his file was transferred to the Citizenship and Immigration Operations Ontario office on Oct 14 received his test date on Dec 23. His application was received on June 23. |

| Its almost one month now since my file was transferred to the local office and there has not been any new updates on it. I call cic last week and was told that my file was just awaiting the test day and as soon as one becaome avaliable I would be schedule. I asked how long it could take and she told me about 8 months. Has any one had any new update |

| I think the have a backlog my file has been there for a month now. I thik we would begin to see some movement in late Jan or early Feb or sooner. |
