I got a letter from CBSA for a 10 minute interview
do you guys know what is this all about? I received my working permit on september 2008 valid till september 2009
My file is pending in Mississauga Local office. Is this a miscommunication between Immigration and CBSA?I was a refugee then i withdrawn it then my canadian citizen wife sponsored me. I got my working permit renewed because my file for sponsorship is pending even i withdrawn my refugee claim.
Probably have some questions regarding your refugee application that changed to a spousal sponsorship There are also steps that need to be taken to withdraw a refugee claim Who knows - I guess you'll find out when you go Good luck
My File Was withdrawn before my hearing date. And i withdrawn it after Immigration received our file for sponsorship.
CBSa- deports people that's why i am so scared.
The letter says we invite you for an interview to update your immigration file.

does CBSA only deport people who are out of status?
I have a status and my working permit was just last september 2008 and will expire sep 2009 because my file is still pending in a local office.
or CBSA just contacted me, maybe to return my passport? because they have my passport till now. And mississauga local office that they will give me my passport once i reached aip.

Well see, you answered your own question They want to update your immigration file
The only way you are really going to know more is when you go to the interview

Hi there as long as u keep the proper staus and it doesnt expire u dont worry coz u have ur partner with papers and they cannot deport u.Ur partner can keep u in Canada Good luck
i cant sleep last night coz of this. I called CBSA and they said, relax you are not being deported you have a legal status here and your Application is INland. We just wanna keep track of you. I am attending a Voice recoding with CBSA computer program. And then i have to call CBSA every month or year to report to them what's going on with my application until i get my PR.. - this is a new program of CBSA for refugees and previous refugee claimants
I was totally devastated last night and now i'm laughging.
Could you please brief me about your interview with CBSA...how did it go?....did they put you on phone reporting?.....did they return your passport?. Thanks.
