2006,2007 Cases waiting for PPR@CHC London - Canada Immigration and Visa Discussion Forum

Dear Sameer,

I read your detailed response. Could you please throw some more light on ur statement "and with refrence to the promices what the canadian Immigration minister made for applicants who applied before Feb 2008, they should be in a hurry to get rid of pending cases as early as possible."

Has the Immigration minister really promised? The reason why I ask this is that seeing the trend at London CHC, it does not seem that they are really interested in clearing the pre-2008 backlog. Did u read about the Immigration Minister's promise on some website or it was through verbal discussions.

More over if you look that thru a nother perspective, then Next month ie MAR 2009, I will be falling in to the bracket where 70 % cases are finalized by CHC LONDON ie 40 Months since AOR, right now iam into 39th month since my AOR, and with refrence to the promices what the canadian Immigration minister made for applicants who applied before Feb 2008, they should be in a hurry to get rid of pending cases as early as possible.

as per my belief , my status query should have fetched them as a reminder that "okay there is a case of 2006" which might have prompted them to do some further processing, i know they have their own ways of reminders in the form of Bring forward dates, but for me its a psychological comfort.

MY 2 CENTS TO SHOW YOU A NOTHER DIMENTION IN THIS REGARD

Dear Sameer and Mustafa,

When I emailed to London CHC, I got an auto-reply email in which one of the statement is " We only reply to case status enquiries if the processing time shown on www . UnitedKingdom . gc . ca (not www . cic . gc . ca) has passed."

This means that London CHC follows its own statistics and that time stats on cic.gc.ca are only a guideline.

i would recommend you to send an e-mail to your CHC asking them politely when can you expect a nother communication from their side, as its been very long, you should have got a medical request by now, even the time (120 days) for CHC to respond has elapsed, and for your info its clearly mentioned even on the cic.gc.ca that they are unlikely to respond if your case is within normal processing time, where we can derive, that now we can send them a status query.

and remember , it is possible that they might have already sent your medical requests already and you might have not received it, there are many people who lost their medical request from CHC in transit and it never really reached the applicants, and as far as I believe your local CHC is CHC london , if it is then also remember that in the 3rd quarter of last year there was a huge postal strike in UK, it is also possible that your post might have been lost during that strike.

so buddy send an email for a status query , if they have sent a medical request they they will notify you , and then you can send them an email back stating that you never got a medical request , then they will re issue it again for you.
