American Daniel Vanderwalker, 55, has been prohibited from hunting in Canada for the next ten years because he had no Canadian hunting license or immigration status.
Vanderwalker, a taxidermist out of Middleport, New York, was convicted after authorities from both Canada and the United States found him guilty of working illegally as a guide for bear hunters in Ontario.
In 1992, 17 years ago, Vanderwalker was caught up in similar charges against him, after he was found hunting in the same area. His latest arrest concluded a 14-month joint investigation by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
