Decline in Labour Force Raises Concerns in Eastern Canada

Immigration could be the answer Maritime businesses are looking for. Bob Manning, chairman of the Saint John Board of Trade, indicated that the labour shortage in New Brunswick is quickly moving from serious to critical. “It’s a serious problem today.” Manning said, “I think within the next 6 months to a year it definitely will become an acute problem in the region.”
