The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) provides a quicker path to becoming a Canadian permanent resident for qualified skilled workers and experienced entrepreneurs. There are four streams under which candidates can apply. No processing fees are charged.

  • Skilled Worker Stream

This employer-driven stream helps employers recruit and retain immigrant workers with the required skills. It targets immigrants with skills in demand.

  • Family Business Worker Stream

This stream helps family-owned business to hire close relatives demonstrating skills that couldn’t be found in Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

  • International Graduate Stream

This is also an employer-driven stream. It allows employers to hire and retain recent international grads whose skills may be in limited supply. The candidate must have graduated from a post-secondary program in Nova Scotia, be on a work permit and have obtained a full-time permanent job offer.

  • Community Identified Stream

This community-driven stream is unique to the NSNP. It is designed to select those who have established connections to a Nova Scotia community, wish to settle there permanently and can contribute to the economy of that community. They must have a Letter of Identification from an organization mandated by the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration.

  • Non-Dependent Child of Nova Scotia Nominees Stream

This is also a unique stream whereby non-dependent children of nominees can be selected. They must meet minimum age, education and work experience requirements.

  • Skilled Worker Immigration
Permanent residence for skilled workers. The point system and related issues. Employer sponsorship is not a requirement
    Provincial Immigration Programs
Canada's provinces have their own provincial programs known as Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)
    Business & Investor Immigration
Three programs offering permanent residence for persons with successful managerial experience and varying thresholds of personal net worth.
    Sponsorship Immigration
A review of current sponsorship programs (permanent residence) promoting the reunion in Canada of close relatives from abroad
