The applicant would need to demonstrate that they meet or exceed the threshold prescribed by the Minister for proficiency in either English or French. This applies to each of the four language skill areas i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening. It is worth noting that readers can review the current language proficiency threshold prescribed by the Minister on the website of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Applicants would need to demonstrate that they meet the required levels of language proficiency in all the four language skill areas by submitting the results of an English or French language test from a designated testing organisation along with their applications.
The language test results must not be more than two years old at the time of the receipt of the application. It is worth noting that the officers will use these test results as conclusive evidence of the applicant’s language proficiency. In short, the officers will not consider any other written evidence.
Persons interested in applying under the Federal Skilled Trades Class are invited to communicate with us at their convenience and/or to complete an assessment questionnaire. Upon receipt we will assess your options.
