The launch of Canada’s new permanent residence pathway for international graduates and essential workers went relatively smoothly on Thursday, although some users reported issues with the online payment system. Fears that a huge rush of applicants would overload the system proved unfounded, as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) confounded the critics with the rollout.
