September 7, 2018 – Ontario has invited a new batch of candidates to apply through its Express Entry French Speaking Skilled Worker stream.
The September 6 draw saw 15 Notifications of Interest issued to FSSW, bringing the total for 2018 to 1,021.
Candidates who submitted their Express Entry profiles between January 1 and September 6 were considered for the latest draw.

Ontario sets no minimum points requirement for the FSSW stream, for which candidates need a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7 for French and 6 for English.
They also need a Canadian-equivalent post-secondary degree and one year of work experience.
Ontario had committed to increasing the number of French speaking immigrants it welcomes through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

What Are The Requirements For The Ontario Express Entry: French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream?
To qualify applicants must have:
- Pending application under the Federal Express Entry system;
- Minimum of 1-year of full time, or full time equivalent work experience under NOC occupation level 0, A or B;
- Canadian equivalent Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD;
- Minimum CLB level 7 in TEF exam (French); AND minimum CLB 6 in IELTS exam (English)
- Intention to reside in the Province of Ontario.
The OINP began publishing information about specific draws at the beginning of 2018.
There have now been 30 French Speaking Skilled Worker draws in 2018.
Ontario has also conducted several Human Capital Priorities, Skilled Trades and Entrepreneur Stream draws this year.

The OINP has received an increased federal government allocation for 2018 of 6,600 nominations, up 600 on the number for 2017.
The province is currently accepting applications for all but one of its immigration streams.
