February 21, 2019 – Despite the move towards targeting technology occupations in recent Canada immigration policy developments, Chemical Engineers (NOC 2134) remain sought-after in the Canadian economy.
As an eligible occupation under Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program, qualified and experienced Chemical Engineers are likely to find a smooth path to permanent residence via Express Entry.
The occupation is also included under the BC PNP Tech Pilot, which prioritizes certain occupations for British Columbia immigration through weekly draws.
This means Chemical Engineers are likely to have options in terms of their opportunities for Canada immigration.
