B.C. has announced a 90-day pause in applications for its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in order to clear its existing backlog and in preparation for the upcoming redesign of the system that will have a streamlined application process and updated program criteria. The revamp is being carried out in part to help attract the entrepreneurs and skilled workers required by the province, but mainly to deal with the increased demand for nominee programs across the country due to recent changes to federal immigration programs.
