August 14, 2017 – The International Skilled Worker – Occupations in Demand category for Saskatchewan immigration closed on August 10, 2017, after quickly receiving 1,200 applications. The popular immigration stream had only opened a day earlier.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) stream is popular because it does not require a job offer, provided candidates have experience in one of the in-demand occupations listed below.
The fast closure of the stream was expected, as it happens every time the stream is opened. Each candidate must pay a $300 application fee when they apply.
The only Saskatchewan immigration stream now accepting applications is the International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer.

“The International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand sub-category is closed to applications at this time,” says a statement on the Saskatchewan immigration website.
“To be accepted, your application must be complete with all required documents or it will be returned and the application fee will not be refunded. When the application threshold is reached, no further applications will be accepted.”
