Note: The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand stream is now closed after reaching the intake limit.
June 8, 2018 – A select group of alert candidates had a rare chance to apply for Saskatchewan immigration on Thursday, June 7.
The province opened its in-demand occupations stream – which does not require a job offer – for the first time in 10 months.
Just 400 application slots were opened up for the International Skilled Worker sub-category. Each candidate must pay a $300 application fee.
The category last opened in August 2017, when 1,200 application slots were snapped up in 48 hours.

Candidates for the International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand sub-category must have experience in one of Saskatchewan’s targeted jobs, list below.
What You Need for the International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand Category
- Score at least 60 out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.
- Language score of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
- Post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship comparable to the Canadian education system of at least a year, earning a diploma, certificate or degree.
- Have at least one-year work experience in the past 10 years in your occupation (see list below)
- Proof you are qualified to get a license in Saskatchewan if your field so requires.
- Proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan.
