              April 11, 2019 – These are some of the top Canada jobs most likely to see candidates receive Canada Express Entry immigration Invitations to Apply in 2019.

              Technology and engineering occupations are at the top of the list for the most in-demand positions in Canada.

              Both fall under NOC 21 for professional occupations in natural and applied sciences, which accounted for a mammoth 14,320 admissions to Canada via Express Entry in 2018.

              The number of admissions under NOC 21 was nearly triple the second-placed category, with 5,640 admissions for NOC 11, professional occupations in business and finance.

              Central occupations in the NOC 11 category include auditors and accountants, plus human resources professionals and business management consultants.

              The 92,235 total Express Entry admissions for 2018 is up 41 per cent on the 65,415 admissions in 2017.

              This shows that:

              1. High-skilled immigration to Canada is increasing, and
              2. Express Entry is now the established pathway for high-skilled immigrants to Canada.

              Technology professionals and engineers are the two foremost in-demand fields in Canada, and they also fall under the same branch of the National Occupational Classification.

              Therefore, NOC 21 will continue to dominant in terms of the skilled workers admitted through Express Entry.

              As mentioned above, important occupations under the NOC include software developers, computer programmers, web designers, computer engineers, chemical engineers.

              Also falling under NOC are architects and surveyors, plus mathematicians and statisticians.

              Canada’s Job Bank reveals 1,970 vacancies for engineers across the country.  This represents a significant demand for qualified candidates. Canada salaries for engineers can range from $60,000 to $120,000 depending on the position, experience of the candidate and location of the employer.

              Another in-demand position under NOC 21 is software developer for which there are 673 vacancies on the Job Bank. Average salaries range from $70,000 to $130,000.

              Qualified accountants are central figures in successful businesses.  There is no surprise that professionals in this field are high in-demand for Express Entry immigration.

              Occupations under NOC 11 include both auditors and accountants, and also human resource and business service professionals.

              Canada’s Job Bank shows 463 accountant vacancies.  Salaries range from $50,000 to over $100,000, depending on skills, experience and the location of employers.

              For positions in human resources, there are 790 jobs posted.  Salaries can range from $60,000 to $150,000 depending on the seniority of the position.

              A range of middle management roles are put together under NOC 01-05, including financial managers, administrators, engineering managers and information systems managers.

              While NOC 21 features those with technical ability in IT and engineering, managers in those fields fall under NOC 01-05.

              Therefore, while the numbers admitted through Express Entry are not as large, the occupations included in the category are of significant importance.

              Canada’s Job Bank shows 505 vacancies for financial managers, with salaries in the range of $75,000 to $150,000.

              There are 303 jobs available for engineering managers, for which salaries range between $75,000 for entry-level positions and $140,000 for the most senior roles.

              In 2018, 4,265 administrators came to Canada through the Express Entry system, making them the fourth largest occupation group.

              Canada’s Job Bank shows 200 positions available for recruiters and recruitment officers. Salaries are in the range of $40,000 to $75,000, often loaded with significant benefits and commission.

              Important positions falling under NOC 22 include computer network technicians, user support technicians, information systems testing technicians, plus technologists and technicians in engineering fields.

              Canada’s Job Bank shows 131 vacancies for computer network technicians. Salaries can rage between $60,000 for entry-level positions, up to $120,000 for the most senior roles.

              There were 2,180 admissions through Express Entry under NOC 63 in 2018, with the category also including customer services supervisors, tailors and shoemakers.
