Prime Minister Stephen Harper has announced a biometric screening program for all foreign nationals entering Canada on a visa by 2018. Citizens from 151 countries, whether they’re tourists, students, migrant workers, refugees or immigrants, will be required to submit fingerprints and digital photos to Canadian authorities when submitting visa applications. The biometric information will then be matched at Canadian ports of entry upon their arrival in Canada.
