October 13, 2017 – The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program opened its two key international student streams for applications on October 12, 2017.
The OINP’s Masters Graduates Stream and PhD Graduate Stream are two of the province’s most popular immigration streams.
A provincial statement said: “The OINP is monitoring the intake of applications with respect to the limits of Ontario’s federal nomination allocation. Applicants will be informed when the OINP is no longer accepting applications to these streams.”

Ontario is one of the only provinces running immigration streams for international graduates that do not require a job offer. The other is Quebec under the Quebec Experience Program.
Changes to the Ontario International Masters Graduate Stream in 2017 mean applications are now accepted from candidates living in Ontario or abroad and the added option of using a different service provider for language testing.
Applications from other Canadian provinces or territories are not accepted.
