Minimum Scores Plummet In Largest BC PNP Tech Pilot Draw of 2019

April 18, 2019 – Minimum scores plummeted as British Columbia immigration conducted its largest BC PNP Tech Pilot draw of 2019.

The April 16 draw saw minimum scores drop to 90 for all four featured streams – Express Entry for skilled workers and international graduates, plus direct provincial streams for skilled workers and international graduates.

Scores in the previous BC PNP Tech Pilot draw had been as high as 100.

Invitations were issued to 71 candidates in the draw. The previous 2019 high for a technology-only draw was 45 invites in the January 23 draw.

A coveted provincial nomination effectively guarantees selection under the Canada Express Entry System, worth 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

The B.C. PNP publishes the scores immigrants need to guarantee an invitation for Canada immigration under its programs.

The score needed for an international graduate is 30 points below a skilled worker under both the Canada Express Entry and provincial stream.

For entry-level and semi-skilled workers, that score is lower again.
